In Simple Terms
We build and host professional websites for local businesses. You pay a setup fee and monthly hosting. We both have responsibilities to make this work.
1. Agreement to Terms
By using South Louisiana Automation's website design and hosting service ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use our Service.
These Terms apply to your use of our website design, hosting, and maintenance services.
2. Service Description
Our Service provides:
- Custom website design and development
- Website hosting with SSL certificate
- Ongoing maintenance and support
- Content updates (1-2 per month depending on tier)
- Contact form setup and management
- Mobile-responsive design
3. Payment and Pricing
Pricing Structure
- Setup fee: Starting at $600 (one-time, due before build begins)
- Monthly hosting: Starting at $100/month (billed monthly)
- No long-term contracts — cancel anytime with 30 days notice
- Setup fee is non-refundable once site is deployed
What's Included
- Custom website design, not a template
- Website hosting and SSL certificate
- Monthly content edits (1-2 depending on tier)
- Ongoing technical support
4. Refund Policy
Setup Fee
- Full refund available if site hasn't been deployed/launched yet
- Once deployed to production, setup fee is non-refundable
- Refunds processed within 5-10 business days
Monthly Hosting
- No refund for current billing period
- Service continues through end of paid period
- Cancel anytime with 30 days notice
Refund Process
To request a refund, contact us at support@southlaautomation.com or call (985) 228-6168. We'll work with you to resolve issues before processing any refund.
5. Your Responsibilities
Content and Information
- Provide accurate business information for website content
- Review and approve website content before launch
- Respond to content/design questions in a timely manner
- Notify us of any business info changes (hours, phone, services)
System Usage
- Don't attempt to modify hosting or DNS without coordinating with us
- Don't attempt to hack, modify, or reverse engineer our Service
- Don't use our Service for spam or fraudulent purposes
- Notify us immediately of any security concerns
6. Our Responsibilities
Service Delivery
- Build your initial website within 5-7 business days of receiving content
- Maintain 99%+ uptime for hosted websites
- Process content update requests within 2-3 business days
- Keep your website secure and backed up
Support
- Respond to support requests within 24 hours on business days
- Provide technical support for website issues
- Make reasonable accommodations for customization requests
- Maintain security and privacy of your data
7. Service Availability
We strive to maintain 99%+ uptime, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service due to:
- Internet connectivity issues
- Planned maintenance (with advance notice)
- Third-party service disruptions (SMS carriers, hosting providers)
- Force majeure events (natural disasters, etc.)
8. Data and Privacy
- You own all customer data collected through our forms
- We may use aggregated, anonymized data to improve our service
- We will not sell or share your customer data with third parties

- You're responsible for complying with applicable privacy laws
9. Limitation of Liability
Important: Please read this section carefully.
Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for our Service. We are not responsible for:
- Lost business opportunities or revenue
- Indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
- Issues caused by third-party services (SMS carriers, internet providers)
- Customer service issues between you and your clients
- Business losses due to system downtime
10. Termination
By You
You may cancel service at any time with 30 days notice. Upon cancellation, we'll provide a copy of your website files on request. Website will be taken offline 30 days after final billing period ends unless transferred to your own hosting.
By Us
We may terminate service if you:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Use our Service for illegal or fraudulent purposes
- Fail to pay invoices within 30 days
- Engage in abusive behavior toward our staff
11. Changes to Service
We may update our Service to add features, improve performance, or comply with legal requirements. We'll notify you of significant changes that affect your service.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Louisiana state law. Any disputes will be resolved in Louisiana courts.
